LOCATION:
Downtown Vancouver, a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, stretches
from Canada Place in the Burrard Inlet harbour, south to the Granville
Street
Bridge at False
Creek. The western edge of downtown is bordered by the
West End, the most populated area in North America, and the east extends
to
Vancouver’s two stadiums – GM Place and Pacific Coliseum.
Downtown is also the center of arts and culture in Vancouver, including
clubs
and live music, opera, the symphony, ballet and theatre, the Vancouver
Art
Gallery and the coliseum-shaped Vancouver Public Library.
CHARACTER:
Downtown Vancouver is the commercial center of the city, including

Vancouver Stock Exchange and the Business District. The city center

spectacular views – from inlets and harbours to the peaks of the
rugged
